Chevron Amethyst Point

The layer width ratios are a direct function of the growth conditions: longer phases with high iron concentration produce wide amethyst layers, short iron-poor phases produce narrow rock crystal lines. The 'thick-violet to thin-white' ratio is an aesthetically valued variation.
