A chevron amethyst point from Brazil. The V-banding shows a particularly pronounced 'arrowhead' geometry with a sharp convergence point at the crystal tip.
The arrowhead geometry is a special chevron variant: all banding lines converge to a single point at the tip of the quartz crystal. This convergence documents growth from a single nucleation point, an ideal crystallographic constellation.
In most chevron amethysts, the growth center is slightly outside the visible tip, which produces irregular banding convergence. Arrowhead variants are rarer and classified higher in the collector's market.
Brazilian Serra Geral deposits supply this material. The cutting process follows the natural crystal tip and emphasizes the arrowhead geometry.
A Brazilian collector's item with arrowhead convergence geometry and documented nucleation history.
Protect from direct sunlight, may fade over time. Dry clean with a soft cloth.
