A slightly curved, bulbous Uruguay Amethyst heart with a metal stand. The bulbous curve gives the heart more volume than the flat standard version.

Uruguayan amethysts are more color-intensive than Brazilian pieces. The violet is deeper, almost burgundy, with less light variation. Characteristic of the Artigas region.

The slightly curved, bulbous shape is not the usual cut. It results when the sculptor works from a thicker geode piece and shapes the heart three-dimensionally instead of as a flat slice. More elaborate to cut, but visually more striking.

The solid, matte black metal stand holds the heart upright. A premium piece in the Uruguay segment.
