Beautiful amethyst heart from Uruguay

An amethyst heart from Uruguay with lilac-colored crystals and a distinctive indentation in the center, framed by a polished agate rim.

The rim has been cut and polished to a high shine, while the crystals inside remain untouched. They glitter in the light and trace the cavity's contour in their original growth direction.

Such Uruguayan hearts are cuts from Cretaceous agate geodes. Their formation occurred in a volcanic gas bubble about one hundred million years ago through slow SiO₂ crystallization.

The heart shape is a classic presentation geometry and is well-suited as a gift or as an accent in the living area.
