Beautiful dark amethyst heart from Uruguay

An amethyst heart from Uruguay with particularly dark, large crystals of the highest quality. The edge combines rock crystal and agate to form a wide, polished rim. The crystals inside sparkle brightly.

The heart was cut from a gas bubble in volcanic basalt, approximately 100 million years old. The amethyst coloration is due to iron inclusions and natural radiation within the quartz lattice.

Dark amethysts from Uruguay are considered to have the most intense color quality from these deposits. The crystal tips have not been polished and retain their natural brilliance.

Three characteristics: strong dark-violet color, wide agate-rock crystal rim, high sparkling effect in the crystal field.
