Wonderful White Amethyst Heart from Uruguay

A light amethyst heart from Uruguay with sparkling crystals in the center and a particularly wide, polished rock crystal rim. The white quartz border provides a strong contrast to the violet crystal field.

The heart was cut from an approximately 100-million-year-old gas bubble in volcanic basalt. The amethyst crystals inside are untouched; the rim has been ground and polished.

For decades, Uruguay has supplied high-quality amethyst, often with a characteristic clear rock crystal transition. This piece is a light variation with a delicate violet hue.

Three characteristics define the heart: a light rock crystal border, a lilac crystal center, and strong light reflection in the crystal tips.
