Beautiful Uruguayan Amethyst Heart

An amethyst heart from Uruguay with dark amethyst crystals in the center. Inside, a rare hedgehog-like crystal arrangement forms with points radiating outwards.

Uruguayan amethysts are considered top quality; the deep violet hues are a hallmark of the region. The deposits in Artigas yield particularly dark color grades that are not to be confused with Brazilian material.

The heart shape is polished on both sides, with a polished cut surface as the front and an inward-facing crystal chamber. Depressions give the piece a sculptural depth effect.

The hedgehog arrangement, Uruguayan origin, and refined polish make this piece a collector's heart with a distinctive character.
