Ammonites are extinct relatives of cephalopods. They lived in marine basins around two hundred million years ago and are now index fossils for the stratigraphy of Jurassic layers.
The discovery area in the Atlas Mountains is one of the most productive ammonite deposits worldwide. The size S shown here is exemplary. Each ammonite supplied is a natural product and will vary slightly in shape, color, and structure from the example.
A decorative natural object with a clear geological history, suitable for display on a desk or shelf.
