Beautiful Labradorite with a fiery appearance from Madagascar

A Labradorite Polished Block from Madagascar with a distinct flame-like appearance in blue and gold tones. The schiller moves in flickering streaks across the polished surface, the eponymous effect reminiscent of blazing flames.

Labradorite is a calcium-sodium plagioclase feldspar. The labradorescence is caused by light refraction at lamellar layers in the crystal structure. The direction of the schiller is carefully aligned during cutting to achieve the maximum color effect.

The Madagascan deposits in the Maniry region are considered worldwide as the best source for premium schiller material. The color is completely natural; the block has only been cut and polished, not dyed.
