Beautiful labradorite from Madagascar

A hand-polished labradorite solitaire from Madagascar, in gallery-worthy format, with blue and golden iridescence in a natural lamellar structure.

Labradorite ((Ca,Na)(Al,Si)₄O₈) is a feldspar from the plagioclase series. The iridescence (labradorescence) is caused by interference at microscopic exsolution lamellae within the crystal structure.

It was cut from a single piece, with no glues or corrections. The color is completely natural, nothing is varnished or dyed; only the polish brings out the iridescence.

Madagascar has been supplying the world's best quality labradorite for decades, with particularly intense blue and gold reflections.
