With a spherical cut, the chevron banding is distributed over the entire surface. When the sphere is rotated, different banding section planes become visible, each showing a different section of the V-stratigraphy. The result is a particularly dynamic presentation compared to the static point form.

Brazilian chevron amethysts are extracted from the Serra Geral basalt formation. The material selection for spherical cuts requires particularly uniform banding distribution throughout the entire volume.
