Small Parrot

A small parrot as a handcrafted sculpture made from several minerals. The body consists of white and blue calcite and sodalite, and the beak is made of onyx. The bird sits on a rock crystal base.

The multi-material composition follows the figurative tradition of Asian stonemasonry workshops. Animal figures made from combined minerals are individually cut and assembled there. Each figure is handmade.

The color combination of white, blue and the clear rock crystal base makes the piece a decorative accent for display cabinets or shelves.
