A pair of citrine geodes from Brazil in a honey-gold hue, with unusually large individual crystals across the entire inner surface.
Citrine belongs to the quartz family. The warm honey coloring is caused by trace iron elements in the crystal lattice under natural irradiation over millennia.
Brazilian citrine geodes from Rio Grande do Sul are formed in volcanic gas cavities. Both halves show a broad whitish agate rim as a chalcedony deposit before the citrine growth.
What distinguishes this pair is the size of the individual crystals. Instead of the usual fine point distribution, significantly larger citrine crystals have grown here. This indicates particularly slow, undisturbed crystallization conditions.
The two halves can be displayed opposite each other, forming a balanced composition. A collector's item with a warm presence, suitable as a solitaire or facing each other in a living room.
Protect from direct sunlight, may fade. Wipe clean with a soft cloth.
