Great citrine point with unique inclusions

Phantoms are earlier growth stages of the crystal, appearing as ghostly pyramids or layers within the later termination. They form when a crystal briefly pauses between growth phases and deposits fine mineral layers before growth continues over them.

Citrine belongs to the quartz family. The warm golden yellow color is caused by trace elements of iron in the crystal lattice under natural irradiation over millennia.

What distinguishes this point is the didactic visibility of the phantom structures: collectors can trace the growth history of the crystal in a single piece.

The lower base shows the original smoky quartz growth zone, which grew before the citrine phase and was deliberately left intact during polishing.
