A harmonious citrine geode pair from Brazil, with a distinct agate rim and honey-yellow interior lining. 99 cm height per half, a museum-quality collector's dimension.

Citrine forms in volcanic geodes of the Serra-Geral Basalt Formation. The agate rim is the original outer geode layer that crystallized from microcrystalline quartz in the early cavity phase. Only after this did the citrine grow as an interior lining in larger crystal forms.

Such complete sequence geodes are didactically valuable: they show the geode genesis as visible stratigraphy, from the outer wall (agate) to the inner chamber lining (citrine).

The honey-yellow coloration is typical for Brazilian material from this deposit. 99 cm height per half is a display-case dimension in which the size of the piece appears more prominent than with smaller geodes.
