Little parrot

A small parrot, handmade sculpture made of calcite and chrysocolla. The bird sits on a rock crystal base, the onyx beak gives the figure a lifelike appearance with clear contours.

Chrysocolla is a copper-bearing silicate with characteristic green-turquoise coloring. In combination with the light calcite matrix, color contrasts are created that add tension to the parrot composition.

The sculptural processing follows the classic multi-material tradition. Individually cut minerals are assembled into a complete bird figure during final assembly.
