Little Parrot

A small parrot, a handmade sculpture made of white calcite, blue calcite, and sodalite. The bird sits elegantly on a rock crystal base, and the onyx beak gives the figure a lifelike appearance.

The combination of several minerals in one sculpture requires curatorial pre-selection and precise assembly. Each component is individually cut, ground, and polished before the overall piece is composed.

The contrasting color zones of white, blue, and black follow the natural bird aesthetic. The rock crystal base elevates the figure freely, making it the visual centerpiece of a shelf or display cabinet.
