Small parrot

A handmade parrot sculpture made of white and blue calcite, combined with sodalite. The detailed beak is made of onyx, the base of rock crystal. A unique variation in the small parrot series.

Within the sculpture series, each piece varies in the color distribution of the individual stones. Calcite-sodalite-rock crystal sculptures are mostly created in Chinese stonemason workshops with a long tradition of sculpture.

The combination of different hardness classes (calcite Mohs 3, sodalite Mohs 5.75, onyx Mohs 6.5, rock crystal Mohs 7) makes the craftsmanship demanding. A four-part bird composition with an individual stone sequence.
