Fluorite (CaF₂) is a halide mineral with a cubic crystal system and Mohs hardness 4. The chips show the typical fluorite colors in violet, green, and occasionally clear tones, often mixed in the same necklace.

The moderate Mohs hardness requires some caution when wearing it, protecting it from direct impacts and sweat contact. Compared to quartz necklaces, fluorite is softer, but more colorful and visually versatile.
