Beautiful heart-shaped rock crystal geode

A heart-shaped rock crystal geode from Brazil. The piece combines the natural geode geometry with a curated heart-shaped cut.

The inside of the geode shows parallel rock crystal points growing inwards from the geode wall. The heart-shaped cut on the outside is a curatorial sculptural decision, transferring the natural cavity geometry into the symbolic heart-shaped exterior.

The Brazilian rock crystal geodes originate from the Serra Geral Basalt Formation. Rock crystal (clear quartz variety) typically crystallizes in volcanic geodes, which formed as gas bubbles in the solidifying lava flow.

The combined form, geode inside, heart outside, is a classic jewelry tradition with two connected levels of symbolism: the geological cavity wonder combined with the emotional heart symbol.
