A twin citrine crystal from Brazil with a strong golden-yellow color and many rainbow inclusions. Two individual crystals originating from a common seed, joined to form a double main crystal.

Twin crystals form when two individual quartz crystals grow in parallel from a common seed region. A constellation of this size is a rare find in Brazilian pegmatites.

The rainbow effects come from internal cleavage cracks where light is refracted into its spectral components. These are not foreign minerals, but rather diffraction effects within the crystal structure itself, and they are considered an indicator of high clarity in the quartz matrix.

The strong citrine color in this block size indicates a high iron concentration and slow crystallization.
