Chevron Amethyst Double Terminated

A double-terminated Chevron Amethyst double-point from Brazil, hand-cut. Characteristic are the white and violet bands, which give the variety its name and appear as wavy zones internally.

Chevron Amethyst forms through alternating phases of crystallization. Amethyst-rich and milky quartz-rich layers deposit alternately, creating the distinctive V-pattern.

The double-terminated form with termination on both sides is a deliberate cutting choice, not a natural growth. Each piece remains a natural product and varies slightly in color and structure.
