A stork made of rock crystal on an amethyst base from Brazil. The single bird figure stands upright, with a long neck and long beak, in characteristic stork anatomy.

The rock crystal processing as bird material uses the pure, transparent quartz variety. With backlighting, the stork appears almost transparent against the dark violet amethyst base, an optical contrast that highlights the sculptural work.

The Brazilian combination of clear rock crystal and violet amethyst comes from different pegmatite and geode deposits. It is an established workshop composition with a long tradition.
