Star Rose Quartz Angel

An angel made of star rose quartz, material from Madagascar, cut in China. The angel figurine with outstretched wings follows Western art-historical iconography and is executed in the Chinese sculptural tradition.

Star rose quartz is a rare variety. Microscopically fine rutile needles are grown in three directions parallel to the main crystal axis. When directly illuminated, the needles produce a six-rayed star that moves with the light source.
