Citrine Sphere with Great Inclusions

Zambian citrines belong to the rare category of natural, unheated citrine. Iron substitutions in the quartz lattice create the golden-yellow color directly from the deposit, without subsequent heat treatment.

The inclusions can be various gemologically interesting structures: rutile needles, goethite coatings, water phantoms, or phantom crystals. Each type of inclusion is a separate mineralogical classification.

The Zambian deposits in the Kalomo region have been documented for natural citrine since the 1990s. The material is considered a gemologically high-quality alternative to Brazilian or Malagasy natural citrine.

The sphere shape is a classic jewelry and collector's format. Under direct illumination, the inclusions become visible as geometric internal structures.
