Great amethyst and rock crystal heart on a metal stand

An amethyst heart from Brazil with dark, sparkling crystals and an amethyst opening in the center. The wide rim combines rock crystal with inclusions of green moss agate, creating a clear color gradient.

The heart was shaped from natural, original rock from a volcanic gas bubble. The crystals inside are untreated and show the typical trigonal quartz structure of amethyst.

The moss agate areas in the rim formed as chlorite-containing inclusions during the later quartz mineralization of the same geode. A mineralogically layered composition from a single geode segment, mounted in a metal stand.
