Amethyst heart

An amethyst heart from Brazil with sparkling dark purple crystals, framed by a green-brown agate rim.

The crystals inside are uniformly formed and naturally oriented in their growth direction. They display the typical Brazilian saturation with a clear luster on the pinacoid faces.

The rim has been cut and polished, while the back shows volcanic basalt from the original volcanic matrix. The cavity infill formed in a gas bubble during the Cretaceous period.

Such hearts are classic presentation cuts from Brazilian agate geodes and are well-suited as gifts or collector's accents.
