Beautiful Pink Amethyst Heart from Brazil

A pink amethyst heart from Brazil in a mixed color of yellow, pink, and white, with small openings through which individual crystal points shimmer.

The yellow tones are caused by iron inclusions, while the pink and white zones are formed by rock crystal crystallization within the same cavity. This color distribution is one of the rarer forms of amethyst found in Brazil.

The heart was cut from a Cretaceous agate geode. The cavity filling originated in a volcanic gas bubble, where SiO₂ crystallized in several phases.

Such mixed-color pieces are considered by collectors to be characteristic examples of the geological diversity of Brazil's agate province.
