A golden citrine crystal point from Zambia with several embedded rock crystals in the base. The color graduates from light citrine at the bottom to strong golden yellow at the tip.

Zambian natural citrine is one of the rarest citrine qualities worldwide. Unlike heat-treated citrines, this point formed directly in a hydrothermal vein with iron-bearing solutions.

In several places, the citrine transitions into smoky quartz. This color zoning documents changing radiation conditions during growth and results in a rare three-phase appearance.

The point is very clear for its size. Inclusions shimmer in all rainbow colors from tiny cleavage lamellae inside.
