Rock Crystal Peak

A particularly clear, undamaged mountain crystal point from Brazil. The growth form is free-standing, the termination is completely preserved, and the piece shows no tip breaks.

Inside are fine inclusions that shimmer in rainbow colors in the incident light. These iris effects are caused by tiny cleavage lamellae and thin fluid inclusions in the quartz.

Rock crystal is pure SiO₂ in a trigonal crystal structure. A point of this clarity corresponds to the first quality level of the Brazilian deposits.

A display point with full growth termination and unprocessed internal structure, suitable for natural light and illuminated staging.
