Amethyst Geode Pair for the Nightstand

An amethyst geode pair from Uruguay, a matching bedside set from a single geode. Both geodes are cut from the same hollow sphere and visually fit together like a single piece.

Geode pairs are formed when a large hollow sphere in basalt is sawn along a natural plane of weakness. The two halves then show mirrored crystal structures, making them a visually coherent set.

The color is classic deep Uruguayan: dark violet with the typical lighter tips at the outer edge of the crystals. Both sides have undamaged outer edges and stand stably on a flat base.
