Citrine is the yellow variety of quartz, colored by traces of trivalent iron. Brazilian citrine geodes from Rio Grande do Sul occasionally yield pieces with central radial-stellate floral aggregates as a growth center.

The heart shape is a curated cut choice: the outer contour was carved into a heart from a suitable geode fragment, while the central floral area was preserved as naturally grown mineralogy. A handcrafted homage to the original growth geometry.
