Dreamy Citrine Heart from Brazil

A citrine heart from Brazil with intensely amber-colored crystals inside and a wide rock crystal rim. The back is also fully polished, revealing the sparkle of the crystal layer.

Citrine is the yellow to amber-colored variety of quartz, whose coloring is caused by trace elements of iron during crystal growth. Brazilian citrine geodes are among the classic deposits for this rare form of quartz.

The wide rock crystal rim formed as a later mineralization phase of the same geode, in which the geochemical conditions no longer allowed citrine growth. A compact heart composition with clearly legible layering genesis.
