Amethyst Crystal - Single Point / Ametrine

An ametrine crystal from Bolivia of distinct premium size. The polished facet clearly shows distinctly separated purple and yellow sectors throughout the entire crystal volume.

The distinct facet size is above average for ametrine. Most Anahí pieces are hand-sized; material of this dimension is a deposit-specific selection.

Ametrine is a geologically unique variety of quartz. Purple amethyst and yellow citrine occur in a single crystal, separated by a sharp geometric boundary line.

The only commercially exploitable deposit worldwide is the Anahí mine in the Pantanal swamp region, Bolivia. According to tradition, it was discovered in the 17th century by Spanish conquistadors.
