Amethyst Crystal - Single Terminated

A naturally grown single amethyst point from Bolivia with a deep dark purple color and a translucent, undamaged tip. The purple surfaces have been lightly polished to remove encrustations from other minerals.

Bolivian amethyst points often have dull surface coatings of metal oxides or accompanying minerals. Careful polishing reveals the crystallographic clarity without interfering with the natural shape.

The edge remains natural. The base has been cut so that the point stands stably. Bolivian material is considered by collectors to be a rare source with particularly intense color saturation.
