Three amethyst geodes in a single stone from Brazil. Three independent cavities in a basalt block, each geode with its own growth geometry and colour character.

Multiple separate geodes in a single block are formed when several independent gas inclusions remain in a single solidifying basalt. Each of these cavities is later filled by its own mineralisation phases.

Such three-geode constellations are palaeogeological documents. Each cavity tells its own geode story, each mineralisation corresponds to a geochemical phase. Brazilian deposits in Rio Grande do Sul supply this premium material.
