A pair of amethyst geodes from Brazil with golden rutile needles in the rim and a large calcite crystal. The three-mineral constellation is openly displayed in a single geode shell.

The main amethyst phase fills the volume with purple points. Rutile needles (TiO₂) as an accompanying mineral from pegmatitic solutions grew in the agate rim area. Calcite as a secondary phase grew on already formed quartz points.

The golden rutile needles against the agate rim background create a premium optical accent. Such multi-mineral geode pairs are a double classification in the collector's market.
