An amethyst geode pair in a symmetrical pyramid shape, from the traditional mining regions of Brazil. Both halves can be placed opposite each other, creating a balanced double display with mirror-image crystal geometry.
The deep violet color of the amethyst points is framed by a narrow agate rim with a light rock crystal edge. Both halves can be placed opposite each other and together form a balanced composition.
Amethyst belongs to the quartz family and crystallizes in the volcanic gas cavities of the Brazilian lava flows. The violet color is created by tiny traces of iron in the crystal lattice, which are stimulated by natural radiation to form color centers.
What distinguishes these geodes is the unusual clarity of the individual points and the uniform depth of the violet. Such properties only develop through slow, undisturbed crystallization over millennia.
The natural course of the geode wall is a classic textbook example of zonal mineralization in a geode. From the dark central core to the deep violet point field and the light rock crystal rim, each phase remains discernible.
A piece with a quiet presence. It holds its own on two bedside tables just as much as it anchors a living space. The symmetrical arrangement of the two halves is the curated staging. Placed separately, they function as accents in two different zones of a room.
