An artistically cut Rutilated Quartz Light Object, in which shimmering golden rutile needles traverse the transparent quartz volume like fine lines. With internal lighting, the sculpture becomes a light-bearer.

Rutilated quartz consists of clear rock crystal (SiO₂) with embedded titanium oxide needles (TiO₂). The finest rutile crystals form during quartz genesis and are simultaneously enclosed by the expanding quartz lattice. A simultaneous multi-component mineralization.

In the collector's trade, rutilated quartz with fine golden needles is traditionally classified as Venus hair, a poetic designation with a long history. Depending on their concentration, the needles can appear as a fine network of lines or as striking individual structures.

The artistic cutting work follows the natural distribution of the rutile needles and emphasizes them through geometric faceting. With internal lighting, the needles gain a sense of depth, and the transparent material becomes a light-bearer.
